The founder of Modern Solutions Counselling, Dawn is a Registered Psychologist specializing in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). What initially drew Dawn to DBT was the skills anyone can learn and benefit from. With over 15 years of clinical experience, she treats individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, addiction, Borderline Personality Disorder and trauma. Sound heavy? The skills she teaches through DBT are the same skills she relies on in both her professional practice and her personal life. Her fervour for life and engaging with others inform Tavia’s work today as much as they fueled her love of dance in her youth. From ballet to Ukrainian, dance invited travel, friendship and lessons in teamwork and dedication into Tavia’s life. Today, the only dancing she does is in her kitchen. Tavia is a Calgary native who values sincerity as much as laughter, bringing a balanced approach to her work and life.
