Originally for the treatment of Borderline Personality Disorder, today DBT is our go-to modality for treating a range of conditions, from everyday stress to addiction. “Dialectical” refers to things that seem like opposites but can, in fact, both be true—like acceptance and change. In DBT, you learn the skills you need to find “The Middle Path” between these opposites, change your behaviour, and build a life worth living—whatever that looks like to you.
ART® is a brief, structured psychotherapy that helps people resolve distressing memories and symptoms by reprocessing how those memories are stored in the brain. ART® integrates eye-movement techniques with image rescripting to reduce emotional and physiological reactivity while clients stay in control throughout the process. Through ART®, clients are able to erase negative images associated with memories, resulting in the elimination of corresponding triggers while preserving the factual memory.
From productivity to self-care and leisure, Occupational Therapy helps clients get back to their everyday tasks and the activities they love when their health has prevented them from doing so. In your initial assessment with our Registered Occupational Therapist, we'll personalize therapy to your needs, assessing you, your environment and your occupation to develop practical strategies that help you overcome barriers to your daily functioning.
Our DBT Skills Group enables you to access the transformative knowledge and skills of Dialectical Behaviour Therapy in a safe and supportive group setting. We’ll focus less on talk therapy and more on the practical how-to of managing your thoughts and emotions.
